Chile has been chosen as an “unmissable destination” for the year 2018 by the popular travel guide Lonely Planet. This distinction places it in the first place of the best places to visit in the world, next to South Korea, and Portugal in the first places.
Chile 2018 “Best in Travel”
Every year, the famous Lonely Planet travel guide, which gathers thousands of travelers around the world, makes a selection of the best destinations to visit. For the first time, Chile has been chosen in the first place for the year 2018, being the only country in Latin America to appear on the list and competing with countries such as Portugal, South Korea, Malta, China, among others.
The publication highlights the diversity of landscapes and tourist attractions such as the Torres del Paine, the cities at the foothills of the Cordillera such as Santiago, the street art of Valparaíso and the beautiful landscapes of the Atacama Desert, the driest desert in the world.
To this recognition are added the “World Travel Awards“, the most important prize that a country can achieve in tourism. Chile has been decorated with this medal numerous times as the best destination for adventure tourism. And it is that Chile has everything, from imposing mountain ranges, wonderful cities, magical landscapes full of life, to the driest desert in the world, the Atacama desert.
